Contenuti dell’insegnamento

The course is designed to expose the students to the principles of supply chain management.

The following topics will be covered in detail:

- Introduction on supply chain basic principles concerning 8 core business processes

- Strategic fit of SCM with business model

- Key Performance Indicators for managing and controlling Supply Chain performance and cost

- Application and development of mathematical modeling tools for the analysis of strategic, tactical, and operational supply-chain problems.

- Mathematical programming formulations for integrated planning of capacity and demand in a supply chain.

- Models and algorithms for transportation and logistics systems design and analysis.

- Supply chain coordination and collaboration with customers and suppliers

- Procurement strategies related to SC model

Metodologia Didattica

60% of the lessons will be held in front mode (ex cathedra lessons)

40% in the interactive mode (tutorials , testimonials, business games)

Modalità con cui viene accertata l’effettiva acquisizione dei risultati di apprendimento.

The evaluation of the training course will focus on a written exam, at the end of the course, in which students will deal with both applications and questions of a quantitative nature, both open questions concerning the various topics presented in the lectures.

The exams will be closed books and closed notes and are constituted by a written test with multiple choice and open questions focused on the topics studied during the classes
