Aim of the course
The course is designed to provide an overview of the legislation governing the socio-religious phenomenon, with specific reference to the Roman Catholic Church, non-Catholic religions and the phenomenon of unbelief.
Students are reminded that the study of ecclesiastical law is required to pass the bar exams, as this subject is expressly included among the oral exams required to enter the legal profession.

Syllabus
After a general and methodological introduction to the study of the subject, the course will focus on the constitutional aspects of Italian ecclesiastical law, with specific reference to the development of the constitutional case law on the subject.
Particular attention will be devoted to the institution of marriage.
All the subjects covered in lectures are included in the exam syllabus.

Examinations
An oral exam will be held.
