IL0001 Italian Level 1

A1 =This course is for all beginners who have had no previous exposure to Italian.

        During each lesson the students will be given progressive course material for use in class and for homework.

        The lessons will be given in Italian, and only if necessary will the teacher give explanations in English.

        The lessons will be based on a communicative approach and on everyday situations; the basic patterns and structures

                  of the language will be pointed out, so that the students can acquire a basic knowledge and mastery of Italian.

       You understand and use everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at satisfying the needs of a concrete type.

       You can introduce yourself and others and you are able to ask questions and respond to personal details such as where they live, people who you know and the things you possess.

      You interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to cooperate.

A1-A2=They understand and use everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. It is known to present themselves and others and can ask and answer questions             about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things that you possess.
           Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his life, the surrounding       evironment; express their immediate needs.

A1 =GRAMMATICAL ASPECTS:

• Simple present of the auxiliary verbs to be and to have, of regular and irregular verbs (for the latter only the most used)
• Personal pronouns subject
• Nouns and adjectives ending with -o/a
• Nouns and adjectives ending with -e
• Determinate and indeterminate articles
• Possessive adjectives and pronouns
• Interrogative pronouns
• Cardinal and ordinal numbers
• Present perfect of the auxiliary verbs to be and to have, of regular and irregular verbs

LEXICAL ASPECTS:

• Alphabet
• Countries, nationalities
• Time, meals, weekdays, months, seasons, part of the day
• Human body and description of persons, clothes
• Family, railway station. 

The lexicon comprises approximately 300/350 words

• How to introduce oneself
• How to introduce other people
• How to greet
• How to accept or refuse an invitation
• How to ask time and thank
• Likes and dislikes
• How to ask for information
• How to converse formal and uninformed

Students will be given the course material to use in class and for homework

The lessons are based on a communicative approach and on everyday life situations

the schemas and basic language structures will be highlighted so that students can acquire a basic knowledge and mastery of the English language.

Lessons will be held in Italian and only if necessary, the teacher will give explanations in English

Classes usually have a duration of two hours with a short break

Students are required to consult the website of the University "my liuc.it" to know the schedule of classes and the number of classrooms

The course is mandatory frequency

Final vote Massimo 30 based on:

20% = rated maximum 6

Frequency = rated maximum 2

For participation = rated maximum 2

Intermediate Test = rated maximum 2 = 10 item, each error =-0.2

20% oral exam = rated maximum 6

Oral presentation with votes = 0-1-2-3-4-5-6

60% written examination = rated maximum 18 = 9 exercises (10 item for each exercise) every error =-0.2
